Dr. Wood’s family has been in Texas for 130 years and in the Weatherford area for more than 60 years! Growing up in Texas and watching his father do orthodontics, Dr. Wood decided that he would like to follow in his father’s footsteps and help the people of Weatherford achieve a lovely smile.
Before he started practicing, he got his Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia and then completed his certificate in orthodontics.

We are excited to meet you during your first, complimentary visit to our office (a $157.00 value)! We understand that doing something new or going somewhere for the first time can be a little nerve-wracking, but it is our goal to create a stress-free and fun environment for you. At your first visit to our office, we strive to ensure that you understand everything, including treatment options, costs, insurance coverage, and available payment plan options. It is very important to us that we educate you on all aspects of your care so you can be a part of the process. During your first visit, you will meet with Dr. Wood, and he will examine your teeth to see if Orthodontics is the right thing for you and your teeth.
He can also address any questions you might have, such as:
- Is there an immediate need for treatment, or can it be delayed for a different time?
- What specific procedure can be used to treat your specific circumstance?
- How long will your specific treatment be needed?
- Do any teeth need to be removed?
- Does any space need to be held for new teeth to come in?

Diagnostic Records
These in-office diagnostic records are complimentary during the first visit. Depending on Dr. Wood’s evaluation, if he decides that treatment can wait, another time to come see us will be arranged. If he believes it is time for treatment to begin, he will request to acquire complimentary diagnostic records (a $295.00 value).
These records will help Dr. Wood in creating a detailed treatment plan from start to finish.
Diagnostic records usually consist of:
- 3D X-Rays
- Photographs of your face and teeth
- In some cases, molds of your teeth will be taken
